Despite voices of global downturn and complaints of affected business industries persisting for long, the knitwear industry of Ludhiana is gearing up to adopt measures that will ensure that it remains competitive. Seven More Handloom Clusters Approved in Orissa

The Centre has approved seven new mini-handloom clusters in Orissa, due to which the total number of mini-clusters in the state has reached from 16 to 23. These clusters are located in Padmapur, Bhatli, Bhuden (Baragarh), Athamallik, Kendarapara, Narasinghpur and Gopalpur (Jajpur).
