ATAMMA to initiate Cluster development programme.

Indian Textile Accessories & Machinery Manufacturers Association (ATAMMA) will start the first ever Textile Engineering Cluster Development Programme to boost the textile machinery and accessory trade in the country.Indian Textile Accessories & Machinery Manufacturers Association Assistant stated that the main objective of this programme would be to bring awareness among our members about the latest technological advancement taking place in textile manufacturing trade in addition to enhancing the skills of machinery manufacturers through awareness programmes.The association would start the programme jointly with NID (National Institute of Design) and EDI (Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India).

The association has also decided to set up an export cell comprising textile machinery exporters from Punjab, Madhya Pardesh, Delhi etc. He added that this export cell will enable the members to get updated information on the status of export market of textile machinery and accessories as a result of which they could enhance their export trade. It will be the fourth export cell to be set up by the association. It has already three export cells in Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Coimbatore. The textile machinery export has plummeted by 10 per cent on account of the booming demand the fourth export cell to be set up by the association.
